Pant Style Diaper Review: Libero vs Pampers

If you’re looking for a pant style diaper that offers both absorbency and leak protection, you may want to consider the Libero diaper. Libero is made with a unique hybrid cloth and polymer blend that allows it to be highly absorbent and leak-proof. Pampers, on the other hand, is a well-known brand that produces a variety of pant style diapers, including the Disposable Diaper, Huggies Little Snugglers, and Luvs. In this review, we’ll compare the two diapers head-to-head and provide our verdict on which is the best option for you.

Today I’m reviewing 2 different brands of diapers for you. The brands are Pampers and Libero. I’ll be reviewing only pant-style diapers as my daughter wears that type only.

Pant Style Diaper Review

Pampers is a very old and popular diaper brand while Libero is just about a year old. My daughter uses both brands. Lets see the points of difference between the diapers-

About Libero Pant Diapers

It is particularly important to have diapers that are extremely soft right from the start. And during the first few weeks, it is also important that they are kind to the sensitive navel area.
Net-like surface
As the smallest babies are fed on breast milk or baby formula, our smaller diapers have a special net-like surface that absorbs the loose stools. This minimises the risk of leaks. It also makes life easier when it is time to change the diaper.

To begin with, babies spend their time lying down. This is why NB have special leakage protection – absorption pockets at the front and back.
Narrow gusset
We introduce our ‘waist elastic’, a soft elasticated section with a snug, flexible fit, which also prevents leaks both front and back. The gusset between the legs is also narrower, so that it does not get in the way as the child increasingly starts to move around.
Free Flex
The diapers have Free Flex stretchy sides and Velcro fasteners. With the help of these smart, stretchy elastic strips and fasteners, the shape of the diaper adapts to soft thighs and round baby stomachs. No matter whether the baby is sitting up or lying down, standing or walking, the diaper will adapt to fit. Along with the narrow gusset, this ensures that the diaper remains comfortable and leak-free.

Price

  • Pampers- INR 490 for a pack of 36 diapers
  • Libero- INR 550 for a pack of 36 diapers

Pampers diapers have a cute teddy bear printed on the front and has an indicator for front and back.

Libero diapers have a little heart printed on front and the print of an anchor on the back. The prints are really funky. These diapers also have front and back indicator.

Packaging Size

Pampers is available in many size variants like 18, 36 and 58 piece packs.

Libero has maximum 36 piece packs available.

pack- same. Pampers has large range of packs 18, 36, 58

Comfort Level

Even though my daughter uses Pampers diapers more, she is more comfortable in Libero diapers.

It is probably because Libero has a more cottony surface which is almost like hosiery. This makes Libero diapers marginally bulkier but it is not a big difference.

Absorbency

Libero diapers are far more absorbent than Pampers.

If I make my daughter wear Pampers at night and when she wakes up in the morning, the diapers are swollen and damp. With Libero however there is no such issue. Her skin remains dry and there is no wetness in diapers even after about 10 hours.

Size

Both Libero and Pampers have similar size ranges. From newborns to toddlers, you will find diapers for kids of different age-groups.

Availability

Pampers is widely and easily available while availability of Libero diapers is limited and that is why most parents prefer Pampers diapers.

Overall, I prefer Libero diapers for their comfort level and better absorbency. If Libero suits your budget and is easily available to you then I would suggest using Libero diapers for your babies.
