I am a big fan of home cooked food and when it comes to little babies I think they have a right to eat healthy food. When my children were young I always used to make “Naan Khatai” made with home made Deshi Ghee. And it used to take me a long time to bake those in traditional oven. Now to all the young moms I might be sounding like Granny bragging about ,” Beta hamare zamane mein hum to apne bacchon ko aise palte they, yeh khilate they…blah blah!!” Lol :)  believe me gals I am not Dadi ma type aunty ji but believe in inculcating healthy food habits in kids from a very young age. In today’s world by the time we parents realize kids are already grown up and prefer to make their individual “working” food choices. So what is the best option with moms.. feed them real food in their childhood so that they have a good immune system to take on the world at a later stage in their life. My granny used to say,” what you eat in childhood gives your body strength in youth and what you eat in your youth keeps you going in old age.” She ensured that we girls consumed a tsp of desi ghee daily with dal and roti. :) “Good for joints”, she used to say. :) After so much of hue and cry about eating  fat or not, finally scientists too have given green signal to all healthy fats as essential for overall human growth. Uff !! Well, I have a very bad habit of digressing from the topic but am not going to allow myself that today. So without even one extra word let me come back to the main issue of cooking goodies at home for your babies. :)

Now a days with most of the young moms working full time it is very difficult to do all fancy cooking at home. Keeping this in mind I am on a mission to create easy and quick recipes for the little ones. Recipes which are nutritious, tasty and quick to make. Quick to the extent that you can make them while brewing a cup of early morning tea for yourself.

Don’t believe it? Well, here is one such recipe which I concocted today morning and didn’t actually believe that it would be such a success. :)
