Hello ladies,
How are you all?
We moms are usually on look out for products which are good and safe for our babies and at the same time our babies too should like them. I am mostly on quest for good products for me and my daughter, and this search of mine got me a new soap meant for babies and toddlers.
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap
Burt’s Bees is a well known brand and when I saw this soap, my mind had no second questions and I got it. This soap was good but not as great as I expected for my toddler girl.
To know why, read on.

Price: $5
Net Wt: 99 gm
Packaging:
The Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap comes in a yellow colored carton box which has all the necessary details mentioned. Inside the box is the soap. The soap is a regular round shaped soap with nothing very fancy about it. It has a logo in the centre which has a bee carved.
Texture:
The soap is creamy and lathers up really well. The buttery and creamy feel of the soap is great and moisturizing.
Fragrance:
It is free from artificial fragrance and has a very mild, natural fragrance.
My Experience:
When I got this soap I knew that I am getting a good product. This soap is really well accepted by people and everybody raves about it. This soap is even found working on sensitive adult skins.
I thought that this soap is going to melt early considering the creamy- buttery texture of this soap but to my surprise, nothing of this sort happened. I have been using this regularly for more than fifteen days and still this much of quantity is left.
The packaging of this soap is kept simple and I have no qualms in this regard. This soap is moisturizing but it does sting. I do not consider a soap that stings a good bet for babies & toddlers and this is where this soap lost its charm.
I cannot rely on a stinging soap for my daughter but the other great qualities of this soap too are a charm here and I too often use it.
Overall this is a decent soap for toddlers but I would never suggest it to be tried on babies.
What I Like About Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap:
- Creamy- Buttery texture.
- Does not melt early.
- Lasts for really long.
- Decent pricing when compared with quality.
- No harsh chemicals.
- No artificial fragrance.
What I Don’t Like About Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap:
- It Stings.
- Not easily available.
Rating: 3.5/5
Will I Recommend:
Yes I will recommend it for toddlers and even adults can try this soap, but for babies it is a big NO from my side.
All in all, this baby bee buttermilk soap is amazing! It has a great fragrance and feels very soft on the skin. The only thing that you won’t like about it is its cost as compared to your regular hand wash products.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is buttermilk soap vegan?
Please be aware that the recipes for the soaps on this page contain buttermilk, making them incompatible with vegan diets.
Is buttermilk soap good for sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin can use this soap. It is mild and won’t aggravate even the most delicate complexions because it is made from buttermilk. It has absolutely no scent, which is sometimes the cause of aggravation for those with sensitive skin.
What does buttermilk do in soap?
Because of its capacity to soften and brighten skin, lactic acid, which is present in it, is used in many skin care products. Additionally, buttermilk increases the lather’s richness, and the rich milk proteins leave your skin feeling velvety.
