"Hi Olive, I have used the Purflo Hollow Mattress for both my babies (and because it is 100% machine washable you can use it for more than one baby - unlike the normal standard foam mattresses where you have to buy a new one for each child). Its a hollow mattress so that it helps with Asthma and Eczema as no house dust mites can live inside of it. It also allows air flow so your baby cannot get too hot. It really is a great buy, a little more money than a normal foam mattress, but the fact that I can 100% machine wash it means that if my baby gets a sick bug you can totally clean it!
