"Ok, we're a bit gruffalo mad in this house anyway, I have really enjoyed reading the book for the last year or so and have added the gruffalos child to our collection, as well as the dvds now too. We're off on our holidays soon so I thought my two and a half year old would probably want his own luggage this time. Well, it came yesterday morning and he was riding on it all day yesterday, and even insisted on putting his trains in it to take to Granny and Grandads. Maybe less so today, we have spent some time playing trains but he has carried it up and downstairs several times. So even just as a toy this is a massive hit. Definitely worth the expenditure - I was a bit iffy about paying that much for a suitcase but now I can see that it is so much more than something you use once a year."
"One of the hidden costs of pregnancy and breastfeeding is the purchase of a whole load of different bras throughout the process. From sports bras through maternity bras to breastfeeding bras, I spent a lot on my changing chest and breast sizes. When you're breastfeeding regularly, your comfort is paramount, my breasts felt really uncomfy a lot of the time, hot, itchy, milky, sore, you name it. When I got fitted for my first nursing bra I came away with a 38 chest size and went down to a 34 at the end. I bought some expensive pretty ones but they were padded and so uncomfortable, I needed neither the heat nor the extra padding they gave. Marks and Spencer ones didn't seem to wash well, and got scratchy. What I really wanted was to be bra-less but of course with ff milkers, that was neither pretty nor comfortable. I first of all won once of these bras, a year or so into my breastfeeding journey. The cup size expands fit b-f cups so was sceptical as to whether they would hold my ff's. But joy! They did, and were so comfy I threw all my hot milk ones away and just wore these. No breastfeeding bra is going to give you the support of an underwired one this was the best support I had had from a nursing bra. I am now in normal bras again, only breastfeeding at night, but I still wear these in bed. They are over a year old now and I've washed them in the machine most of the time and they are still performing well. They are cool, soft, comfy and are the next best thing to wearing nothing on your chest. I highly recommend these. They are about the cheapest out there, and they last a long time too."

"As a new mum, one of the first things of the 'old me' to go was my jewellery. Shiny sparkly things that move and are close by are fascinating to small babies. So after the breakage of one of my favourite necklaces and the almost de-lobing of my ears, all my pretty dangly stuff was put away for some time far in the future. I have always loved jewellery, and it's bad enough feeling fat and frumpy without having your pretty necklaces resigned to the jewellery box too. When I discovered these, i was so very happy. Not only are they so well made as to pass for real stones, (they are baby-safe rubber) but they have a safety catch at the back so that if they are pulled, they will not garrotte you but simply come apart and can be easily reassembled afterwards. But this is not al! They are also a baby teether, the only one my baby really used, probably because it was always to hand, round mummy's neck. They would make a fantastic gift for any new mum."
"We've had a few wow! toys now. They are hard wearing and sturdy toys in bright colours and perfect for little hands to operate. They claim to be unbreakable but when my little einstein DID manage to wreck his, a quick tweet to the company resulted in a an extremely speedy, no quibbles replacement. This toy though has nothing that can be easily broken. The little girl and boy can have tea on deck, sail off round the bath and climb the diving platform and take a dive into the bubbly warm waters with the lovely friendly dolphin (or shark, as my son prefers to call it). This is a firm favourite at our bathtime, it is good fun, and easy to clean when it gets a bit soap-scummy. It doesn't let the water in and go mouldy like some toys, and doesn't show any signs of wear even after months of play. A great toy, and at this price, a good present either for you own son or daughter, or for somebody else's birthday."
"From birth, my son was trying to pick his head up and look around him so when he was old enough I picked up one of these off ebay and he loved it. It's lovely and light, yet at the same time lovely to touch and very easy to clean. Its design means that it is very stable indeed and though you are not advised to put it on the work surface, I put my son in a secure corner far away from the edge and close to me as I washed the dishes. He's always been interested in what I am doing so we could have a chat and he could chew on a whisk or something and it was happy families all around. Even on the floor, he got a different viewpoint, and he was so comfy. We didn't really use the tray, like mummysliitlepeeps said, it's fiddly to get the tray on unless the baby is not in the seat, and its easier to get baby in the seat without the tray on...anyway, I didn't use it much in the end and got a booster chair as soon as he was able to sit unaided. Well worth it though, and they look like new for ages so you'll be able to sell it on ebay easily, and for a good price, when you have finished with it."
