I was a little dubious as there is no 5 point harness and instead an 'impact bar'. However I was at the end of my tether with my toddler wriggling his arms out of the harness on his old seat so I thought I'd give this a try! The first thing is it is incredibly light and so easy to move between cars if needed, the next thing is because it is not 'fixed' into the car permanently it is just a question of popping the seat into the car, sitting your child on top and using the seatbelt to secure the car seat. My son initially hated having the impact bar in front of him and screamed, but we reassured him and within a day or two he was very happy in the seat and used the impact pad to rest his arms on. He seems to find it very comfortable to sit in, and his older brother is very envious of the seat! It is a bit on the expensive side, but from our experience it is worth while just for ease of use and comfort! Hopefully we will never find out how effective it is in an accident, but it has won several awards in Europe for safety which I think is a good recommendation!

My 3 year old will be travelling for 10 days in this so it is important that her car seat is comfortable.

I am a huge fan of Kiddy car seats, and with good reason. They are, in my opinion, the best child car seats on the market thanks to the unique safety components. The impact shield is an added feature that no other car seat has- designed to "allow for "rolling over" of the upper part of the body in case of a front-end collision or severe braking maneuvers. Thus the very delicate cervical area in children is strained less than with conventional seatbelt systems." This alone attracted me to the products as I felt that the added attention to security was well worth the extra money. In addition, the seat has unique 'Kiddy shock absorbers' for protection during a front on impact. Scary stuff aside, the seats are lovely and the best car seats we have had for the kids. They're comfortable and they look nice. Importantly, they aren't too bulky or fussy and we are now able to fit three seats in the back of our car with no problem! The kids like them and that's important as it saves on fussing during longer journeys. From a parent's point of view, fitting the seat is easy and its no hassle moving them from car to car if you need to. To install, all you need to do is place the seat on the back seat of your car and fasten the belt around them. Easy. The seat can be adjusted height-wise and the leg rest can also be adjusted. Its suitable for ages around 9 months to 12 years so the value for money is amazing- you may never need to buy another seat again! Kiddy are a fabulous brand and we have been so happy with all the seats we've had from them. I would certainly recommend this product.
