Playing is a major learning activity for your child as it helps in developing certain set of skills. Lamaze Space Symphony Motion Gym is made for the same purpose. It consists of a bright purple coloured play mat which is a cartoonised replica of the space. The cross shaped sturdy arches have space toys like rocket, the planet Saturn, monkey in a space suit. It also has a small sun shaped mirror. You can always add your own set of baby toys for that personal touch. The varied colours and textures initiate excellent eye-hand co-ordination in the baby. The funny sounds made by toys develop sharp hearing skills too.

I really like this product, I'm sure other play mats are just as great but we went with this one as it has the motion and sound pack at the top of the arches so it slowly moves the whole lot whilst playing a choice of two sounds. My baby loves being under there and the battery powered motor means you can put it on and walk away from it knowing your baby is going to be entertained and you haven't got to sit there shaking it with your foot. The battery life is pretty good, it takes three AA batteries and we had it for 5 weeks before I had to change the batteries and thats with it going on intermittently throughout the course of a day.
