Is arching the back a sign of baby trying to roll over?

My 12 week old baby has started arching her back, often Shen crying which I think is a sign she's trying to be defiant when tired or is impatient when hungry but I've noticed if I put her down on her play mat, she does it. Is it early signs of trying to roll over? She's not crying when she does this. What age will she start to roll over?

This could be a sign of wind:( try rubbing her back and keeping her upright for a while to see if it eases, If she pulls her legs up too that could be wind also. On the other hand, if she isn't in pain it could just be her stretching and trying out her limbs! I think there may be a few more weeks til she rolls over yet but who knows? Some babies walk at 6 months! XxX

Often babies find tummy time does help to relieve wind and if she is crying it would suggest discomfort more than rolling. My little boy started rolling over at five months and the twins at six months! So it is possible!
