I'd recommend Anbesol. It works extremely fast (2-3 seconds) and effectively. Unfortunately we don't have it here on Babyhuddle but you can find it in any good pharmacy

I have used both the Nelsons Teetha recommended and Anbesol which have both been fantastic. My daughter wore an Amber Teething Necklace through all her teething and we never had a sleepless night, sore bottom or dribbling - just a smiley happy baby. With my son I have been using Organic Monkey Cheek Rub which is an aromatherapy oil you rub on the outside of the cheek.

I have heard the teething necklaces are fab, but never used them myself (will try them with this baby) I swore by Nelsons or Ashton and Parsons Teething powders.

I found the teethers that you could put in the fridge were fabulous, but mine always wanted to chew on my bracelets or jewellery so next time i would definitely buy a teething necklace.

I'd also recommend an amber necklace - it worked miracles for us. within an hour of putting it on, we saw a difference. It might be worth knowing though that many suppliers of amber teeething necklaces in the UK have ceased selling them temporarily because of an EU investigation which has caused UK trading standards around the country to ban their sale while the investigation takes place - all to do with the risk of swallowing. My personal feeling on the subject is that if you buy a good quality one where each bead is knotted or sewn in place separately, you should be fine. There are risks with anything you use.

I have been recommended the Sophie Giraffe for teething, although have yet to try it myself.
