We had these for almost 2 years and we are still very happy with this product! I like the functions. It can be vibrated, light, talk mode, digital temperature and timer. The baby unit - they have 8 different night lights. i let my daughter to choose it and it make her feel very excited. It can be only 1 colour or left it to flow thru 8 different colours. As for the talk mode, it was like a walkie talkie. It's scared my daughter but she got used to it. Sometimes I used it to communicate with my husband if he is in the room. Loved it! The LCD temperature display is very accurate. It is quite hard to read if you are at a funny angle or sunny day. We never used the timer but it seems to track the next feeding time. Sometime we accidentially press it and it was quite annoying. Bad thing about this monitor is the battery life on the parent unit is poor. It's only lasts for 2 hours or less. We had it charge at all times. As for the baby unit, it is always on. Overall, it is a great baby monitor which they have all the need that we need for our needs!
We bought this on the advice of a friend who has tested most models after 4 kids in a very built up area where other models suffered interference... We are pretty happy, although the battery life is not good. We only have it off the charger for the afternoon nap and evening usually and it seems to be down to the final bar very quickly. I really like the big, clear digital temperature showing baby's room temp as for a first time mum the SIDS guidance is a bit daunting about not letting them overheat. The volume is good - easy to adjust - with a 'loud cries' only setting, plus a 'talk mode' to say "SHHHhh - go to sleep!" Fairly robust - survived quite a few drops onto the floor. It is fairly expensive compared to some other models, so could probably get a cheaper option with much the same.
