Do you buy the traditional chocolate egg or go for an alternative present?

We didn't buy our daughter eggs last year as she had just turned one and we didn't give her chocolate at that stage. We have bought her 3 Easter eggs this year. I was going to buy her a stuffed toy lamb or chick, but it just adds to the growing pile of toys!

We bought ball pool balls because they look vaguely easter-eggy (in fact, they look just like the plastic easter egg hunt eggs we got). My daughter has eaten more than enough chocolate for someone her size already this week and I'm having to scrape her off the ceiling she's so hyper.

I bought a soft duck toy and painted some hard boiled eggs :-)

My two generally receive so many chocolates from friends and family I like to make them a little hamper each of alternative goodies eg book, soft toy etc
